The program gives a possibility for
quick access (in 3 to 6 months, depends mostly on the student) to a rewarding career, where
specialists with life science education can apply their qualification,
even if they have moved to a country, where their foreign diplomas are
not recognized.
According to the 2003 ACRP Compensation
& Benefits Survey the starting salary for entry
level CRAs (CRA-I) with less then 2 years of experience, is about $ 50.000 per year.
The average salaries are shown at www.glassdoor.com, www.salary.com, and many other sources. Salaries depend on company, therapeutic area and years of experience and with the time can go up to $ 100.000
The next step up for a CRA is often to a project management role, which offers more responsibility in
overseeing trials and pays more.
After 2-3 years work in the
industry, a CRA can start working
on his own as independent contractor, which increases substantially his revenues. You
will be able to decide your workload and number
of studies to take and control your quality of life. Some CRAs work even
after retirement by taking from time to time some small study just to
keep them active.
The
chronic shortage of
qualified CRAs on the market keeps the level of salaries high.
Once you get into the industry, you are there forever. Recruiters will be
calling you because they always need people with experience. About 95%
of the positions are never announced and filled-in by references, sointensive networking is necessary to learn about them. There is a
special course on that matter in our program.
The CRA profession requires very good attention to details, so almost 70-75%
of the CRAs are women. Lot of CRAs work from their homes as home-based.
